Early Voting Results: Florida Has No Winner Yet — 5,153,390 Ballots Are In, and the Counting Starts Tuesday
"Early voting results" is one of Sunday's top searches, but Florida will not have results until Election Day. What exists today is the count of ballots cast: 5,153,390 statewide, already matching every early ballot cast in 2022.

The search is running ahead of the election. "Early voting results" sat at No. 8 on the Google Trends US snapshot read by this desk Sunday morning — but there are no Florida results to find, and there will not be until polls close on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Early voting produces a count of ballots cast, not a count of votes for anyone, and Florida law keeps it that way until the counting starts Tuesday night.
The count itself is the story. As of November 1, 5,153,390 ballots have been cast in Florida — 1,895,850 returned by mail and 3,257,540 cast in person — according to the On Point Politics tracker built on state election office data. That is already 100 percent of the 5.06 million early ballots cast in all of 2022, at a pace 8 percent ahead, and equal to 66.1 percent of total 2022 turnout, with Sunday's final early voting day and Election Day still to run.
The participation split is narrow. Registered Republicans account for 40.7 percent of the ballots cast so far and registered Democrats for 37.6 percent, with voters registered with another party or no party making up the remaining 21.6 percent. Those figures describe who has voted, by registration — they do not reveal how any of those voters voted, and no honest reading of them names a winner in any race.
When results do come, they will come through the count, not the search bar. Most US news organizations will rely on the Associated Press or Decision Desk HQ for vote counts on Tuesday night, Reuters reported Sunday; the AP, which has counted votes in every US election since 1848, is deploying more than 4,000 reporters at county election offices and polling places for the 2026 midterms. The first race calls are expected soon after polls begin closing, starting with Indiana and Kentucky at 6 p.m. ET — Florida's own polls close at 7 p.m. local time Tuesday.
