Powerball on Monday: A $793 Million Jackpot, a $339.9 Million Cash Option, and a Drawing at 10:59 P.M.
Nobody matched all six numbers on Halloween night, so the jackpot Florida players will line up for on Monday has climbed to an estimated $793 million — past the 2019 Wisconsin prize and into the game's all-time top ten — with the drawing at 10:59 p.m. Eastern.
The Powerball jackpot Florida players will chase on Monday night stands at an estimated $793 million, after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's Halloween drawing. A single winner on Monday can take the prize as an annuity or as a one-time cash option of $339.9 million, both before taxes. The drawing is Monday, November 2, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern.
Saturday's numbers were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with a red Powerball of 20 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x. The Halloween jackpot had climbed to $770 million by draw time, and while the top prize went unclaimed, the night was not empty: a ticket sold in North Carolina matched all five white balls and carried the Power Play, good for $2 million. The jackpot has been building since August 12, when a ticket sold in Illinois claimed an estimated $1.04 billion, and Monday's $793 million now sits above the $768.4 million won in Wisconsin in 2019 on the game's all-time list.
The arithmetic of hope stays what it always is: a ticket costs $2, and the odds of matching all five white balls plus the Powerball are 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball is played in 45 states, including Florida, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with drawings every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Whatever Monday night brings, the numbers will be in this space before the confetti — if there is any — has settled.
