Dolphins Foundation Awards $50,000 Jason Jenkins Legacy Grant to a Miami-Dade School-Pantry Nonprofit
His Hands and Feet, Inc. — which stocks school pantries serving about 1,200 Miami-Dade students a year — will expand its Haven of Hope Pantry Initiative with the 2026 grant, presented on the field at Hard Rock Stadium during Sunday's Patriots game.

The Miami Dolphins Foundation has named its 2026 Jason Jenkins Legacy Grant recipient, and the money stays in Miami-Dade's school hallways. His Hands and Feet, Inc., a Miami-Dade nonprofit founded and led by Ydania Peralta, will receive the $50,000 grant — provided by the foundation with support from Gallagher — to expand its Haven of Hope Pantry Initiative, a food security program that partners directly with local schools to give students and their families access to food throughout the school year. The organization stocks school pantries with shelf-stable foods, snacks, breakfast and lunch items and family meal bags, and provides food, clothing, hygiene products and school supplies through school pantries and community outreach, along with year-round emergency family aid. Its pantry currently serves approximately 1,200 students across five partner schools every year.
'His Hands and Feet is an incredible organization tackling food insecurity here in South Florida,' said Elizabeth Jenkins, wife of Jason Jenkins and Executive Board Chair of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, in the team's announcement. 'We selected them because their passion for serving families across Miami-Dade County is changing lives, providing children with basic necessities so they can focus on learning, growing and thriving.' The nonprofit was recognized during the Dolphins' game against the Patriots on Sunday, November 1, at Hard Rock Stadium, where its representatives took part in an on-field check presentation alongside Elizabeth Jenkins and Austin Sanders, an area vice president of Gallagher.
The grant was established in 2025 in honor of Jason Jenkins and his family, and is awarded annually to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit driving long-term change in underserved communities. This year's announcement closes the fourth annual Football UNITES Jason Jenkins Days of Service, the team's month-long October service initiative: the Dolphins said more than 650 volunteers — players, alumni, cheerleaders and staff among them — positively impacted nearly 65,000 people across the local area and in countries affected by natural disasters. Fifty thousand dollars, five schools and 1,200 students is the local arithmetic. The pantry shelves are where it lands.
