College GameDay Is Headed to South Bend for Miami at Notre Dame on November 7
ESPN announced Saturday that College GameDay will be in South Bend for next week's Miami-Notre Dame rematch - the Hurricanes' first time in the show's spotlight since hosting Florida in September 2025 - as No. 1 Miami plays at North Carolina tonight.

Next week's game already has its stage. ESPN announced on Saturday that its College GameDay pregame show will travel to South Bend, Indiana, for the Miami-Notre Dame rematch on November 7, the Palm Beach Post's game-day blog reported. It will be the Hurricanes' first time in the show's spotlight since Miami hosted Florida in September 2025.
The announcement lands on the one condition that makes it a showdown: Miami has to get through tonight first. The No. 1 Hurricanes (7-0, 5-0 in the ACC) play at North Carolina (4-3, 2-2) at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on ABC, and a win would make them 8-0 for the second time in three years and send an unbeaten team into South Bend. The matchup pairs head coach Mario Cristobal against six-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick, whose Tar Heels have already matched last year's win total.
Miami's weapon remains Malachi Toney, who broke his own program record last week with 16 receptions for 194 yards and three touchdowns in the 52-23 win over Pittsburgh. North Carolina's counter is wide receiver Jordan Shipp, who enters with 543 yards and touchdowns in back-to-back games - the third straight week Miami's thinned secondary faces one of the conference's best receivers.
The final availability lists, published Saturday afternoon, show why the secondary is thin: Miami is out defensive backs Ja'Boree Antoine and O.J. Frederique, plus receiver Joshua Moore and running back CharMar Brown (both out for the season), offensive lineman Max Buchanan and tight end Luka Gilbert (out for the season). North Carolina is out five players, including defensive back Tre Miller, with four more questionable, including offensive linemen Jordan Hall and Andrew Threatt. Tonight's game-night file follows within 45 minutes of the final, per the Sports Desk duty sheet.
