No. 1 Miami Hurricanes at North Carolina Tonight: The Unbeaten Canes Take Their 7-0 Record to Kenan Stadium (Miami Watch News)

The Miami Hurricanes take the No. 1 ranking on the road Saturday night. Miami, 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, plays North Carolina at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Central, according to the Sportradar schedule.

Miami earned the top spot a week ago at Hard Rock Stadium, routing Pittsburgh 52-23 in the Hurricanes' first game as the nation's top-ranked team in more than two decades, according to the program's official site. Quarterback Darian Mensah threw four touchdown passes for almost 400 yards, and Malachi Toney caught 16 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Mark Fletcher Jr.'s third-quarter score was the 33rd touchdown of his Hurricanes career. Pittsburgh fell to 5-3 with the loss.

The caution flag is the building. Miami has lost four of its last five matchups at North Carolina, a history the game's prediction roundups weighed all week - and the Hurricanes' own writers framed Chapel Hill as a trap to escape before next week's Notre Dame game. A win tonight keeps Miami unbeaten atop the ACC; the program's official site notes the Canes remain atop the conference standings either way they got here - tonight decides whether they stay perfect.
