Miami Late-Night Weather: Monday's Thunderstorm Chance Jumps to 90 Percent, With Storms on Election Day Too
The station feed's late-night update makes Monday the wettest day of Miami's week - thunderstorms at 90 percent - after a cloudy, 59-percent-rain Sunday and before a stormy Election Day Tuesday at 74 percent.

Miami's wet turn has sharpened overnight. The station's weather feed, read late Saturday night, puts the chance of thunderstorms on Monday at 90 percent - up sharply from the 66 percent the feed carried earlier in the evening - with thunderstorms also likely on Election Day Tuesday, at 74 percent. Monday is now, by a wide margin, the wettest day in Miami's week ahead.
First comes Sunday: overcast skies, a high near 82 and a low near 75, with the rain chance at 59 percent - a damp backdrop for the final day of early voting and a full slate of Sunday games. Late Saturday night, Miami sat at 78.1 degrees and feeling like 84.3 under overcast skies, after a Halloween that topped out at 83.1.
The pattern breaks after Tuesday. Wednesday brings drizzle at a 29 percent chance with a high near 82, and Thursday turns clear and warmer - a high near 86 with the rain chance down to 18 percent - before Friday settles near 85 with only a 12 percent chance. Voters heading out Tuesday and anyone with Monday plans should treat both days as storm days: keep the umbrella close and expect the heaviest rain of the week on Monday, when temperatures dip to a low near 71 behind the storms.
