How Many People Voted Early in Florida? More Than 4.9 Million Ballots Cast Before Election Day
Florida's statewide turnout tracker put ballots cast at 4,932,690 by midday Saturday - nearly 36 percent of registered voters - with early voting closing in most counties today and Miami-Dade's 28 sites running one final day on Sunday.

More than 4.9 million Floridians have already cast ballots in the 2026 general election, according to the statewide turnout tracker FreshTake.Vote, which compiles figures from the Florida Division of Elections and county supervisors of elections. Its midday Saturday update put ballots cast at 4,932,690, or 35.99 percent of the state's registered voters, with early in-person voting accounting for 3,049,378 of those ballots and the rest returned by mail.
A second tracker told the same story at a slightly earlier snapshot. On Point Politics, using counts from state election offices, put Florida ballots cast at 4,888,216 as of Saturday - 1,874,113 by mail and 3,014,103 in person. By party registration, registered Republicans accounted for 40.6 percent of ballots cast in that tally, registered Democrats 37.9 percent, and voters with no party affiliation or a minor party 21.5 percent. Registration shows who has participated, not how anyone voted, and the trackers do not assign those ballots to any candidate.
The calendar now splits by county. Florida's mandatory early voting period runs through Saturday, October 31, FOX 13 reported, while a number of counties - including Miami-Dade and Broward - offer early voting through Sunday, November 1. Miami-Dade's 28 early voting sites are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday for the final day, and mail ballots can still be returned at any early voting location during voting hours.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, when voters must go to their assigned precinct and polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters who have not yet cast a ballot have three routes left: the final early voting day where their county offers one, returning a mail ballot by the Election Day deadline, or voting in person on Tuesday.
