MLS Standings: Inter Miami Sit Second on 59 Points, 15 Behind Nashville, With Charlotte Coming on Decision Day
The search everyone is running tonight has a short answer at the top and a Miami answer right under it: Nashville SC have the East and the Supporters' Shield on 74 points, and Inter Miami — 59 points, one game left — hold second place into a Decision Day home date with Charlotte FC.

'MLS standings' was the No. 1 trending search in the United States on the Google Trends snapshot read late Sunday night, and the Eastern Conference table it leads to is settled at the top and live underneath. Nashville SC sit first on 74 points with the Supporters' Shield already clinched — 15 points clear of the field — and Inter Miami CF hold second place on 59 points from 33 games, with a league-best attack of 77 goals scored and a top-seven playoff place locked in.
Miami took second the hard way on Sunday night: the 2-1 comeback win at New England moved the Herons (59 points) one point past the Revolution (58), and clinched Miami's place in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup alongside Nashville, New England and Vancouver — a prize that, had Miami drawn or lost at Gillette Stadium, would still have been on the line on the final day. Lionel Messi's 83rd-minute winner, his MLS-leading 26th goal of the season, is the goal the standings now turn on.
What remains is seeding. Fifth-place Charlotte FC (53 points, a top-seven place also clinched) visit Miami on Decision Day, Saturday, November 7, in the regular-season finale both clubs play with the bracket in view: Miami can hold second, New England can still take it back, and Charlotte can improve its own first-round position. Further down, Orlando (43 points) hold the last Wild Card place with the New York Red Bulls (39) the first club out — the other race the standings searches are chasing tonight.
