More Than 3.1 Million Floridians Had Already Voted by Tuesday, as Early Voting Hits Its Final Weekend
State data counted more than 3.1 million ballots cast in Florida's general election as of October 27 - and South Florida's early voting sites stay open through Sunday before Tuesday's Election Day.

Florida is voting early in large numbers. More than 3.1 million Floridians had cast their ballots in the general election as of Tuesday, October 27, according to state data reported in the Florida Times-Union's early-voting guide, read by the Florida Desk this morning - a statewide total built up since early voting opened, county by county, beginning as early as October 19.
The calendar now splits the state. The mandatory statewide early voting period ran October 24 through today, October 31, and most early voting sites in Northeast Florida close tonight - while South Florida keeps going: Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties run early voting through Sunday, November 1, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, according to USA Today's Florida guide and the county's own elections information. Duval County also continues through November 1.
After Sunday, the only remaining way to vote is in person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 - in Miami-Dade, at your assigned precinct, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Completed mail ballots can still be returned at early voting locations during voting hours through Sunday, or at Elections Headquarters in Doral or the Downtown Branch Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
